I imagine everyone was nervous. Killing Soleimani was the right decision, and it needed to happen to reset things with Iran. And they rightly calculated that Iran wouldn't start a war because we have escalation dominance.

It was a high stakes move that paid off, but they had to nervous nevertheless.
