Barring they have not decided long ago to take out the regime. And there are no American casualties. President Trump could let this one go and offer the olive branch to deescalate the war.
This may allow the regime to save face with the military establishment in Iran and give them an out. Trump would turn into the peace maker, with a big stick of course.

The missile attack in conjunction with the airliner crashing after takeoff causes me to believe they wanted us locked and loaded for when the plane with 180 people on board flew over really threatening like. Only for some reason, it crashed on takeoff. Who in their right mind would take off in an airliner from Tehran tonight? NOBODY.
