Our friends down under don’t have the most stellar record when it comes to engaging in war against their animals.

So sad! I bet Texas would love to have them!~ There are wildlife parks here who have all kinds of animals like that.

There is one in Glen Rose Texas area. I think there are other ones, too.

They have a neat place to stay there...

WHY DO I LOVE TEXAS SO MUCH? Because it is so beautiful.

Thank you Lord for making Texas so beautiful!

They are not being killed to *help global warming*.

They’re being killed because they are an invasive species that has worn out its welcome and is becoming a threat to the local populations/

They are feral, wild animals and nasty by nature to boot.

They should have been obliterated long ago.

Because Australia’s mostly desert early explorers imported them to do their exploring with. They first came in the 1800s so they have been there for quite a while now. Ergo the large numbers you read about now.

Idiots. They did the same thing to elephants in Africa only to find out the elephants provided a key link in the ecosystem that allowed plants to grow. After 40k elephants were slaughtered the land went fallow in much of the area they roamed.

People are total idiots. Carbon credits is BS. If they must; move the camels to someplace they can be useful rather that to waste such animals.

Sometimes I think it would be better to cull the humans who think of doing these things without understanding what it is they are really doing.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_feral_camel

...
With the introduction of motorised transportation in the 1920s and 1930s, some cameleers released their camels into the wild. Well suited to the arid conditions of Central Australia, these camels became the source for the large population of feral camels still existing today.

Australia has the largest population of feral camels and the only herd of dromedary (one-humped) camels exhibiting wild behaviour in the world. In 2008, the number of feral camels was estimated to be more than one million, with the capability of doubling in number every 8 to 10 years.[19][20] In 2013, this estimate was revised to a population of 600,000 prior to culling operations, and around 300,000 camels after culling, with an annual growth of 10% per year.[21]

How will the snowflakes digest their ideal of cookies and cream indigenous now demanding a camel genocide? (Which could be avoided by putting out water tanks for the wildlife). Camelids are a fire-fighter’s best friend - Camelids spend their days eating what other grazers won’t: brush, saltbush, thorny plants, low-hanging tree limbs and clipping grass neatly to an inch height without disturbing the roots. Their padded feet don’t cause erosion, their food intake requirements are minimal with four stomachs squeezing every bit of nutrition out of what they eat and they produce the best soil conditioner in the world.
Even sadder, ‘flatulance’ is now an excuse for slaughter?

Disgusting.

The only thing Australian in an Outback are some of the wines offered. Everything else is pretty much North American in content. It was started by some guys in Florida. It’s really an Australian themed restaurant set in America.

Why not round them up and process them for use. To just shoot them and leave them laying is just waste.

BS on carbon credits but it is wanton waste, they need to be eaten or turned into animal feed.

They can use the same UN logic on the aborigines, more from agenda 21 dickwads. More UNlogic.

Makes me think of the original accounts of the “oceans” of buffalo in America.
They got along fine without the invention of global warming.
Wasn’t it previous carbon/methane emissions that gave us the plants and the basis for the hydro carbons we use today????? It’s just a circle.

Yes Camel meat is very tasty. I had shawarmas made with camel and they were good. I preferred the camel to the goat especially when the Pakistanis prepared the food. The way they prepared the goat it only tasted good when smothered in Texas Pete. Camel was a very dark red meat probably very lean and healthy. My thought was what a crock of Schiff. If you are going to cull the herds, process the meat.
