Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) on Monday became the first Republican senator to state that he would like John Bolton, former White House national security advisor, to testify at the Senate impeachment trial if subpoenaed.

“I would like to be able to hear from John Bolton. What the process is to make that happen, I don’t have an answer for you,” Romney told reporters on Capitol Hill when asked whether he would be open to hearing from Bolton.

Romney thought he would come into the Senate and serve ass some sort of power broker and he found out quickly he is nothing if the Senate majority leader says he is nothing. He most be chaffing in his senate seat.

Oh brother. You are delusional and don't understand the law much less politics. Heads of parties, very rarely, ever get involved in politics because you are going to tick off members of your own party for the candidate you don't choose.

I thought you and everyone else believe that every breath Trump breathes is brilliant. Such brilliance means you don't get involved in primaries since it tears the party apart. Why don't you know that? Even with Sessions, Trump said he is going to stay out of the primary. That is very basic politics.

Romney is an enemy and should have been treated as such in Republican primaries by the leader he constantly tries to backstab.

Trump has supported only a few in the primaries and for special reasons. It is always better to sit out primaries because you create such internal strife it is hard to repair.

Romney is an icon in Utah and would have easily beaten Trump if he was on the senate primary ballot.

There are things in life we all don't like and have to deal with them and Romney is one of them.

If Trump is as stunningly brilliant and genius as everyone insists, handling Romney should come with ease for Trump.
