House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said he supports open House hearings regarding President Trumps order last week for a strike that killed top Iranian commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
Schiff, who is among lawmakers who were briefed a day after last weeks attack, told The Washington Post there should be open hearings on the administration's decision to strike.
The president has put us on a path where we may be at war with Iran. That requires the Congress to fully engage, Schiff told the Post in an interview published Monday.
Schiff said theres absolutely no way Trumps threat to retaliate with disproportionate attacks, should Iran strike the U.S., reflects Pentagon planning.
None of that could come out of the Pentagon, Schiff said.
A Pentagon spokesperson was not immediately available for comment when contacted by The Hill.

They can do a lot of damage in two years.
Hey Chuckie, Watch Out! Adam Shiff-for-brains is trying to compete with you for TV time
Who will the next fake whistleblower be?
Who will turn into another leaker at NSA or from the military response staff from the pentagon?
If this all happens again, its time to arrest these treasonous ba$tards and try them. And be quick about it.
Schiff wants to be very careful at the forces he is about to unleash.
I think it’s fitting for a man of Adam Schiff’s level of depravity that he face such a strict accounting.
When do we have open hearings into Schiffyism witchhunts?
Closed doors on impeachment, open doors on foreign policy. Bite it, Schiff.
That's so 2015. Don't you know the rule now is the President follows established policy or is impeached?
Only Democrats are allowed to fundamentally transform America. Heck, they wouldn't even let Bush nominate Miguel Estrada just to keep Republicans from the possibility of nominating the first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice.

I call for a drone strike on that ba$tard.
He doesn’t get it. He is so Last Year. Grasping at straws.
Actually, they do.
Broad policy is set by the administration in power and by congress.
Detailed policy and regulations implementing the broad policy goals are written by the Pentagon.
Schiff is once again pi$$ing up a rope.
The President is changing US policy on Iran away from Obungo’s appeasement debacle to a policy of deterrence.
The president is perfectly within his Constitutional powers to schiff his policy to deterrence. The more Schiffing the better.
As a matter of fact President Trump is out-schiffing Schiff himself, which has Schiff’s panties all in a twist, yet again. I wonder if Schiff can even fart anymore, his panties are in such a twist.Hopefully this will lead to Schiff’s exploding himself.
Notice no one mentions Ed Buck anymore, or his connection to Schiff..and the fact that Schiff has been to his apartment numerous times. Under 8 years of Obama, with the IRS targeting Conservatives, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, using drones to target terrorists all over the world..I dont remember Republicans once calling for investigations, not once..because they were chicken, they should have, every single time
Dipshit. We have been at war with Iran for 40 years.
WITH can’t a Pubbie grow a set and tell the pencil necked freak that.
When do the Schiff’s conduct hearings start? Along with that of a few dozen other traitorous mouthy louts?
Simple. Bad guy is a General for a country that is considered a Terrorist regieme. bad guy planned attacks that killed hundreds of US troops and injured thousand more in addition to killing thousands of Iranian citizens. Bad giy likely planned said attack on the US Embassy. We exploded bad guy. Hearing over.
There will be more Whistleblowers, because the GOP let them do it.
They wont even use his name!
They will continue playing that card.
