This is the ‘fog of war’ on FR...LOL
That letter looks to me like possible cover for an invasion...
...increased helicopter travel conducted during hours of darkness to alleviate any perception that we may be bringing more Coalition Forces into the IZ.
The whole letter seems very suspicious to me.
Right now, the government of Iraq is almost like Iran... from all signs, they have killed hundreds of protesters. What are we doing in a country like that? And I am waiting for more analysis. I don’t have a clue.
Thanks, Ok. So they made this decision after the missile strike on Salami and the declared Iranian threat, not based a US stance of staying or leaving.
Expending our blood and treasure to enrich our ruling class.
FAKE
link doesn’t go to Reuters
Letter is written by a crank with poor writing skills
On barely faked letterhead.
We don’t know that, FWIW. I imagine Chevron’s leadership is pretty plugged in. It’s John Q Public that’s the last to know.
We sacrificed Blood and Treasure to give the Iraqi People their Freedom. They either fight to keep it or they suffer the consequences of their own stupidity.
What they choose to do with that Gift is ther own affair.
The stipulation will be, don’t come crying to us. You own it.
The fog of cyber war, right here on FR. How many got punked?
I just read the article you linked and thats what it says.
Then he wasn’t a genius at all. Instead of bombs he could have called a vote. I guess he didn’t understand the idea of democracy until his dying day.
This is what is known as a heads-I-win-tails-you-lose maneuver. Also reminds me of that "thank you sir, may I have another" scene in "Animal House", but instead of Kevin Bacon, it's the entire Demagogic Party.
Went to Reuters and it is linked there.
Not that the Chevron pull out isnt news worthy.
“The authenticity of the letter, which was addressed to the Iraqi defense ministrys Combined Joint Operations Baghdad, was confirmed to Reuters independently by an Iraqi military source.”
From the link....
I rarely believe everything I read anymore. I’ll read it. Even pass it along. Then suspend belief while I trust but verify :-)
Please be true. Pretty please!
