Dr. Cyril Wecht, a doctor and lawyer, told Kennedy on FOX Business Network in August a Montreal study found only 2 of 239 hanging death resulted in a broken Hyoid bone or less than 1% of those killed. Note that Epstein didn't exactly hang himself, as I understand it.
I think he (supposedly) slowly strangled himself into unconsciousness and eventual death. Which probably makes a broken Hyoid bone even less likely.

And while that's do-able, it requires a lot of resolve to go through with, unless perhaps you have sleeping pills or something that will make you go unconscious, as that woman from Washington State did a few years ago, where they had videos of her buying OTC sleeping aids prior to her disappearance.
