Argentina’s military is a shadow of a shadow. Even as de-fanged as the RN is, I’d put my money on the Poms beating them like a redheaded rented stepchild mule (to mix the metaphors nicely).

This is a bit cartoonish (who wants to take a patriotic Russian communist sock puppet frog seriously?) but it does explain why Argentina can not take the Flaklands for at a decade,
Argentina vs United Kingdom: Falklands War 2017. Additionally, while the RN has grown smaller, all the existing RN ships are modern and has lessons learned from the Falklands. During the Falklands most of the RN was flat out obsolete and the new ships suffered from cost cutting. The current Type 23s and 45s are good ships.
