Utility rates are approved by governmental bodies. They can’t just pass on the costs on their own. It remains to be seen how this all shakes out. The bottom line is individuals are NOT going to be fined $1,000 per day under this law no matter how many times this falsehood is posted here.

They can just turn the water off if over their state mandated total. Will suck if your house is in fire. What about swimming pools?
