Kerr facing backlash after accusing VP of lying about Soleimani, 9/11

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr criticized Vice President Mike Pence on Friday, accusing him of lying about Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani's involvement with the attacks on Sept. 11.

"One thing I've learned in my lifetime is to not believe our government when it comes to matters of war," he tweeted. "Johnson and Nixon lied about Viet Nam [sic]. Bush and Cheney lied about WMD's in Iraq. Now Pence is lying about Iran/Soleimani's supposed involvement in 9/11."

After his Friday tweet, Kerr received criticism for apparently picking and choosing when to speak up about geopolitics.

“He was like a little boy, he was so scared... He was shaking,” Trump has said.

Yeah. No WMD in Iraq. Deep state submarined Bush and kept the information classified. Bush the moron went along with it.

Cheney said way back when that there was a state actor involved in the 2001 attacks but that we were not prepared to do anything about it at the time. He was not referring to Iraq.

His father was killed by muslim terrorists allied with Iran. I agree with him we generally cannot trust our government on such matters. I cut some slack on this case though, as Iran has been at war with us for more than 40 years. We just occasionally do something about it. We were hit, we hit back. What Pence says is immaterial, IMO.

There was a reason for that. According to agreements we were bound to at the time, if WMDs were discovered than the UN would be able to be a meddlesome thorn in the side of even Iraq’s new government. By sneaking materials out when found - note that ‘our’ WMD stockpile [including VX] destruction here in the US slowed down and fell behind schedule at various locations in 2003 and 2004- the UN agreement was bypassed though at a high political price.

You should never trust the government about anything.

However, in this case, it seems apparent by the whining of all the usual enemies of the USA that this was a good move, and by the loudness of that whining that it was an excellent move.

He’s had too many basketballs bounced off his head during the time when there were no concussion “protocols”.

“And Obama/Hillary lied about Libya”

I’m sure it was just a brainfart.

Maybe so, but the libs keep getting to spoting off that they weren’t there, and the invasion was therefore illegitimate.

Did Kerr ever cast Twitter doubt on government credibility when Obama government claimed Benghazi attack was merely about an internet video?

A typical hypocritical joke.

Golden State Warriors

9 wins - 28 losses.

This Clown “Coach” sure has bigger things to worry about than his Geopolitics chops. He apparently isn’t good at either one of these endeavours.

What always pissed me off about Iraq was that Hussain was constantly violating the truce he signed with us in 1991...which is why even President Clinton had to attack them on a regular basis.

To me that was SUFFICIENT on its own for us going in and whacking the guy - and we should have left it there (and if we found WMDs, so much the better). The idea that we first had to ‘prove’ they had WMDs, when they were blocking agreed-to inspections, should have been outright REJECTED by Conlin Powell and others.
