Donald Trump will go down in history as the third US president to be impeached. Yet no president has ever been convicted and removed from office as a result of impeachment, and it appears unlikely that Trump will be, either.
While no Republican senator has indicated he or she will vote for Trump's removal, prominent members of the GOP like former Arizona Senator Jeff Flake claim that at least 35 would do so if they were allowed to cast their ballots in secret.

CNN = DESPERATION
Let’s shoot this commie who wrote this piece of junk publicly!
Any time there is secrecy, there is abuse.
I remember the secret vote of 2008, at the Democrat National Convention.
Each delegate was called early in the morning for their vote, instead of voting by state at the convention hall as was normal.
I remember how very angry Hillary and her campaign team were.
Liberal wet dream.
CNN might be able to make their case but Its a waste of time. The founders did that years ago.

Lost me right there.
Well actually the title did it.
Sheesh. . if they will only vote honestly if it is a secret vote, good gawd, that is wrong on so many levels and reflects their true nature. They have no spine and two ears held apart by a vacuum.
Have them vote in public on whether they want a secret vote or not. THAT would be very revealing.
Robert Alexander can fit his ‘case’ up his rectum.
LOL, secret votes in Congress? What next will the media propose - secret tallies of votes for elections?
He was impeached. The House decides to impeach or not. The Senate votes on whether he is removed or not.
Its a deep state mind control operation in process, a communist style plot, if you will.
There’s no case for it at all.
The light of day needs to be shined on this process.
This won’t be run like the closed door fiasco in the House.
Can we vote secretly to vote CNN off the air?
Secret ballot?? BS! Let the constituents that sent you there know how you voted you damn worthless chicken $#!t congress critters.
I: Jeff Flake is an idiot and not worth quoting
2: There will be no secret vote. We aint playing that.
3: FO, CNN and the horse you rode in on.
A pre-17th amendment Senate would have a very hard time justifying keeping their vote secret from the state legislatures that sent them to Congress.
