According to the Fed study, the tariffs that went into effect in 2018 have led to not only higher producer prices but also a loss of jobs across the U.S. — particularly in manufacturing. . .

Every founding father of this country was a protectionist and supported the tariffs act. So were they freedom lovers or socialists?

Globalists like cannot be nationalists and to be a patriot YOU MUST ALSO BE A NATIONALIST.

explain how a tariff on goods made in a foreign factory hurts US workers

I've already explained it Dorkman. You don't pay attention at all and you never refute the rationale behind my assertions. You're a good Leftist - no reason or accountability.

That is why you're on my No Fly Zone list. You are a Socialist Troll who lurks around FR. You have absolutely NOTHING to offer.

Go away.

“What are we, Antifa?”

One needs to fight dirtier than one’s enemies. The left should be shocked by your behavior and so should you. If this fact upsets your enlightened fantasy land values then sh, fold bandages.

PS: Try the “I” formulation. You aren't we.

>>>So when every last factory has been off shored then what’s in store for the USA?

I don’t anticpate that happening anytine soon. But I will note that in the past 10 years, we have added 20 million jobs in the service sector and 1.2 million in the manufacturing sector. It would appear that the greatest economy ever is built primarily on the growth in the service sector.

We can debate this if you want, but you won’t get very far in what tariffs do to an economy in the 1800’s compared to today.

Everyone is too short sighted to play the long game anymore, well almost no one. Need 4 more years and the dynamic with China will be irreversible change and positive to the US long term.

So can America survive with no industry or production because that is the trajectory for the US economy.

The USA is a debtor nation and the debt keeps growing. This is not sustainable. Welcome to post industrial America.

Service sector does not create national wealth, it exists due to the Trillion+ dollar yearly deficits, massive spending on entitlements and welfare, and what is left of the real wealth creators, which are manufacturing, mining, energy extraction, applied research, farming and fishing.

American middle class has gained very little over last 25 years, versus China has transformed a Billion people out of poverty into middle class by focus on manufacturing. It is the biggest transformation in history of mankind, and it was achieved by stealing manufacturing jobs from first world countries.

I don't disagree with you that tariffs aren't interference as they obviously are; however, my disagreement with you would be toward president's Trumps tariffs being efficacious, primarily because imposing tariffs are a level of power that can be exercised at an executive level.

I think the tariffs and the wall along threat of them has been quintessentially important

Since Ryan and McConnell are uniparty dill weeds who squandered and ran real interference toward president Trumps economics programs, tariffs provided a mechanism to president Trump to disrupt the uniparties network of graft which more than anything is a butt pug in the genuine global free market entrepreneur based economy running as smooth as a turbulent system can. It's kinda like chemotherapy to kill the cancer.

But here is the kicker that nobody expected - the world doesn't need China - anybody who cares to analyze the last thirty years in context to how us imposing tariffs on these pretend Mandrins can sink their economy in under 4 years - weak and rookie - next time don't get your commie accounts from Author Andersen MCI/Enron division. However paying off Kim in near worthless bitcoin wasn't totally with out a bit of brilliance - similar to leveraging that can of Sterno in Enron's basement into a globally traded energy market - perhaps I exaggerate but on scale

Communism with Chinese Characteristics is about ready to be exposed for the crooked con it is most likely manifesting itself in crippling deflation, anything with previously holding value material or currency is about to start on fire - but I digress.

The Trump Tariffs in my mind are the thing causing the capitalistic catalyst and the United States is the most natural environment for a free market entrepreneurial economic system to flourish provided the corrupt thumb on the scale interference is removed. The tariffs are what are prying the globalist graft network off the scale.

All right then, I am not bailing you out of jail when you get arrested and used by the liberal media as an example of why conservatives are violent. I don't say I like it but that is how it will go down.
