Service sector does not create national wealth, it exists due to the Trillion+ dollar yearly deficits, massive spending on entitlements and welfare, and what is left of the real wealth creators, which are manufacturing, mining, energy extraction, applied research, farming and fishing.

American middle class has gained very little over last 25 years, versus China has transformed a Billion people out of poverty into middle class by focus on manufacturing. I don't disagree with you that tariffs aren't interference as they obviously are; however, my disagreement with you would be toward president's Trumps tariffs being efficacious, primarily because imposing tariffs are a level of power that can be exercised at an executive level.
