Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Perhaps you could explain what you think prevents it instead of making assertions and asking questions?
Prevents what? A withdrawal to benefit Iran?
LOL!
Come on, at least try.
The crisis is at the Hill
How do we spin Iraq to cause the most damage?
“Prevents what? A withdrawal to benefit Iran?

Thank you for making it clear that you think that the possible benefit to Iran prevents out withdrawal, now I can debate that idea.
Our presence benefits Iran, it gives Iraqis someone to resent instead of Iran and allows Iran to play the friend who is helping them get rid of us.
It also helps bankrupt us which is a goal for Iran.
Leaving would hurt them and starting a war with them would hurt us very badly, that’s why they keep trying to provoke us into a war and keep us from leaving.
Alright.
We can afford much more than Iran. They lose there. THEY are the ones being bankrupt.
They cannot afford ANY war with us. What- do you think they’re rich LOL!
We can bankrupt them without it costing us nearly so much and they would have a hostile Iraq to deal with instead of one that sees them as an ally against us.
I ‘get’ the idea that we’re equivalent to Iraq as “foriegn forces”
Should we be the weaker?
IDK that that’s the best goal.
I don’t know that “destroy Iran as quickly as possible at all costs” is the best idea.
Pretty much.
Consider that investments in Iraq and Syria could weaken Iran.
Just consider it.
Consider the cost.
Then consider that we can weaken Iran for much less.
I don’t think we can avoid this,
Iran does’t have the Chinese backing that it needed in Iraq.
We’ll see, but all Iran’s money in Iraq may be lost.
