As more New Mexicans learn the truth about the Energy Transition Act, or ETA, the less they support it. Called New Mexicos own Green New Deal, the ETA will kill jobs, raise electric rates and will only enrich green energy companies at our expense.
Thats why its time New Mexicans come together to repeal the Energy Transition Act.
Not long after the ink was dry on the ETA, it was revealed how Gov. Michelle Lujan Grishams administration worked closely with PNM and radical environmentalists to write the law. New Mexicos energy workers and ratepayers were left behind while big green and PNM were allowed insider access.
If you need further proof the ETA was rushed through the Legislature, look no further than the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission. When a bipartisan group of commissioners wanted to take a closer look to make sure ratepayers werent getting left out, the ETAs supporters screamed. ... PRC commissioners are continually facing the scorn of the regressive green movement just because they want to do their job and protect New Mexicans from higher electric bills.
Insider access and lack of transparency would be reason enough for us to fight for this repeal, but there is one reason that is even more important: our way of life.
Thousands of energy workers and many communities across New Mexico depend on our energy industry for high-paying jobs that allow their families to grow stronger. They develop our states natural resources that help our nation be energy independent. And the billions of dollars in revenue they generate support every classroom, every road project and every family in New Mexico. The ETA and its radical supporters want to see that come to an end.
They believe our way of life is a threat. We know theyre wrong.

Our Green New Deal Governor, Michelle Lujan-Grisham, says she supports the oil and gas industry. She doesn't; she supports the money they bring to the state with an estimated billion dollar surplus for this fiscal year. Behind the scenes, she pushes for more control over emissions, especially methane and flaring which is necessary both for safety (poisonous hydrogen sulfide gas) and for natural gas a byproduct of crude production which can not be captured due to current lack of pipelines to transport it. Other members of the legislature tried last session to ban fracking using the usual false claims that it contaminates fresh water and causes earthquakes. So while the governor speaks of support, behind our backs she works with the radical enviros to curb fossil fuel production.

Funny how things end up when people vote to ‘teach Trump a lesson’.
Sadly as more New Mexicans learn they were lied to..... Sort of how Nevadans were lied to enough that the renewable crap succeeded in passing last vote get together. Currently less than 10% of Nevada energy is ‘renewable’. Now we have a mandate that 50% of it be ‘renewable’ by 2030. Srsly? Probably NOT going to happen. Consequences? Haven’t seen them laid out. Happy new year CedarDave.
Let em pay. Theyll be back.
It would be charitable to describe Lujan-Grisham as a complete disaster.
This is what the people wanted with some election shenanigans. It’s a disgrace. The typical voter just doesn’t have the ability to think critically. Most of these states turned “blue” will never turn back.
Im surprised the ABQ Journal published this since its famous for sucking up to the Progs.
You mean Gropesham? Per local radio in ABQ, she's been accused of sexual harassment by a former campaign staffer. He's accused her of tossing a drink in his crotch, then groping his wet crotch. The local media has circled their wagons against her to protect her. So much for accusers needing to be heard, which was her mantra during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing.

Most of these states turned blue will never be allowed to turn back. (fixed)
