Update: In exchange for Emily Salazar’s resignation, 42 hours of back pay will be paid in the settlement between her and the Kern High School District.

The settlement states that Salazar will be paid back pay and for her administrative leave through April 30, 2019. The 42 hours of back pay came from when Salazar worked an extended day of twelve hours for an academic decathlon and 30 hours for multiple times she served as a period substitute for the 2018 to 2019 school year.

Along with her resignation, the settlement states she is no longer allowed to work or have a business relationship with the KHSD.

Salazar can be denied employment if she ever applied for employment in the future with the KHSD.

Salazar’s teaching credential is still valid in California and her benefits are secure under state and federal law, including the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985(COBRA).

LOL...you youngster, you! Back when I was in HS, there were no video stores.

I remember a fraternity brother somehow got some porn films around Christmas time 1969. They were 8mm black and white films! Actual film, not videotape (Betamax was way in the future). I vaguely recall one film was a knockoff of the Timex ads “Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.”

My daughter is a teacher and she is VERY cognizant of this. She has basically gotten off of social media out of an abundance of caution that nothing she posts ever be misconstrued in damaging ways. I recall she was upset that somebody else who happened to have her same name was posting racy stuff and she did not want her superiors thinking it was her.

This Bakersfield teacher had to walk away from the job which paid her $80,000 per year...She only has to teach for 10 months...I wish I had a job which paid me $80,000 a year.

I can’t but help think that any woman who becomes a swinger is married to some loser schmuck who can’t perform.

You would be wrong on that one! I’ve known a couple of these types and while they were pervs, it wasn’t because they couldn’t make things happen, lol.

I remember my mom telling me about the time we moved into a neighborhood.

She was invited to a party by a couple in the neighborhood; she went, thinking it was just the neighbors trying to be friendly and it was a swinger’s party; when she realized what was going on, she left and we packed up and moved out the next day.

This was in the early 1960’s.
