Actually, if you look at the map of election results by precinct, Trump won nearly all of the orthodox (modern and Haredim) precincts in Brooklyn and Queens. The exception was the upper west side (mixed, but with a sizable modern orthodox population) which went for Clinton. Most American Jews are Reform or Secular and tend to vote Dem.
New Square in Rockland is a Hasidic enclave that Clinton bought with federal funding and a clemency or four. Unfortunately, it also happens to be in our CD and they GOTV for the Dems every year.
