Andrew Yang: Democratic Party ‘Unfortunately Is Acting Like Donald Trump Is the Cause of All of Our Problems’
Breitbart ^ | 12/29/2019 | Pam Key

Posted on 12/30/2019 6:39:32 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

On Sunday’s broadcast of ABC’s “This Week,” 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang argued Democrats should not be treating President Donald Trump as the cause of all problems.

Yang said, “To me, it’s clear the reason Donald Trump is our president today is that we automated away 4 million manufacturing jobs that were primarily based in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Iowa, the swing states he needed to win.”

We didn't "automate" any jobs away,, we sold out America and Employed Slaves in China.

First the manufacturing jobs really went to Mexico, then countries south of Mexico, then China when they figured out how to move goods from there to Mexico and then into the US by treaty. NAFTA was the killer though. Not only automobile and car parts, but the entire Textile Manufacturing operations across the country gone in a little more than a decade.

When Ross Perot in the 1992 Presidential debate with Bush and Clinton and later with Al Gore about NAFTA, he warned everyone what would happen. He predicted a "giant sucking sound" would be heard from the jobs being vacuumed from the US to Mexico. That was back when I was naive and NAFTA was a bi-partisan trade deal that sold out the country just like Ross Perot said. And here we are 25+ years later. Hopefully USMCA will fix some defects.

I realize that and am fully aware how it started and progressed. Our own Government PAID manufacturers and others, through “Tax Incentives” to CLOSE shop in America and MOVE to a third world country using labor at 10% of the cost, no unions,... and they could import their products duty free and save a fortune while building up tyrannical communist dictator regimes around the world. As for the Americans displaced, well they got EBT.

Trump has exposed how inept the Democrat economic policies have been for decades.

At the next Dem debate, Yang will be attacked relentlessly for disputing that Donald Trump is the cause of all problems in the world.

I caught that too. He’s blaming assembly and inventory robots when it was actually globalist traitors sending jobs to scores of other countries.

“You been hittin the Opium pipe again?? We didn’t “automate” any jobs away,, we sold out America and Employed Slaves in China.”

It’s just part of his narrative to justify his idiotic $1000 a month giveaway because robots are going to take those jobs away.

Yang is an idiot. He is calling for people to move to higher ground because global warming is causing sea levels to rise.

Trump has exposed how inept the Democrat economic policies have been for decades.

Trump actually wants to accomplish things and make improvements from the status quo. Democrats only want to own the issue to keep people riled-up at election time.

It’s not an ‘either/or’.

I’ve been laid off twice due to my job being completely replaced by automation. It is happening, and even tariffs won’t change it that much, since it will be cheaper for a lot of jobs to now have a robot do it in the US, as opposed to a slave in China *or* a person doing something that the robot or computer program can do.

That said, I’m OK with this automation, it’s the way of the world. Something I could do 500x a day, while being paid $26 an hour with benefits, vacation, etc can now be done 100X faster 24/7. That’s life, adapt or die.

I still think moving jobs overseas is the bigger issue, and President Trump is taking the right tack in repairing this, but lots of jobs have gone away, and many more will; burger flippers and baristas can be replaced at effective cost. I know here in the Wine Country that the wineries would LOVE to automate harvesting and pruning, it would save immense amounts of money.

We’re moving back in the right direction, but it will never be the same, automation will keep getting cheaper and combined with higher minimum wage it does mean that some people will never really have a job they can do.

Hmmm, Yang is trying to get into the middle. He is the most sane*, but not interested.

*Sane in the Democrat mind is about 2 on a scale of 0 to 10, with 10 being Trump and 0 being a moderate Democrat - Bernie is -500.

I watched the last Election in the UK on Sky News, and the difference between the labor party’s reaction to their defeat and the Democrats on 2016 was striking....

Sure there were a few people who went to the stupid talking points of, I feel sorry for the children etc for not voting us... and those that were were quickly smacked down by the interviewers for basically claiming that it sounded like they were chastising the voters for being wrong.... and once done they quickly shut up on the talking points...

However the majority of the Labor party folks interviewed, even those within very high position of the party, immediately admitted that their PARTY needed to introspect itself and that their LEADERS that lead them down the path to ruin needed to go. It was very sobering, in the political sphere see.. particularly since in the US political sphere, over 3 years after the Democrats faced their defeat, few if any of them are willing to even admit THEY HAVE TO CHANGE AND THAT THE ELECTION RESULTS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM AND THEIR POLICIES....

For me, the less people listen to Andre Lang on this the better... let them just keep blaming Trump for all their ills, and not be willing to accept what they are selling folks just aint buying... Longer they keep this silly line of logic up, the more elections they will lose.

Automated away means the deep state dingbats sold our manufacturing to Chinese slave labor camps for chump change. Then they saddled Americans with a huge debt load due to the trade deficit.
