No, I mean that the news from the scene is giving the first defender credit. I don't think CNN came up with that all by themselves and they are probably just passing on how others have characterized the scene.

The defender that was shot would have done better to just rush the shooter, I'm not sure what that hesitation is all about. Maybe they knew the shooter or they felt the shooter wasn't dangerous.

It looks like and sounds like the shooter shot three rounds and the guard shot at the same time the shooter fired his third round and went down like a sack of crap.

Because apparently he tried to ‘talk’ to the shooter, however brief that was. The shooter isn’t one you talk down when they’ve got a gun pointing at you point blank range.

I just watched it a few more times. The first person shot while attempting to draw from behind his back was about 10 feet away, and looked like he was over 50 years old.

I’m over 50 and couldn’t close that distance with someone who already had their weapon out and pointed at me.
