Expansionist, individualist, and exclusionary patterns of housing
If youve heard that Green New Deal supporters want to increase government control over all facets of life more than they want to protect the environment, well, heres more evidence of that.
An assistant professor of urban planning at UCLA argues in the far-left magazine The Nation that California is doomed as long as people keep owning homes.
If we want to keep cities safe in the face of climate change, we need to seriously question the ideal of private homeownership, says Kian Goh, who researches urban ecological design, spatial politics and social mobilization in the context of climate change and global urbanization.
Goh considers it news rather than fevered speculation that we may only have a dozen years to contain global warming, as shown by destructive California wildfires in recent months and precautionary power shutoffs by utility companies.

by “private ownership” leftists mean “private property”.
The Big Brother socialist state they pine for is incompatible with private ownership of anything including land, housing, transportation, weapons, food, wages, income and other wealth.
Private ownership equals freedom and independence.
The manufactured climate scare is just the latest tool (scam) that leftists have devised to do away with constitutional freedoms and bring us all onto the socialist plantation.

Easily fixed with a chainsaw and a wood chipper.
How do “precautionary power shutoffs” add to
global warming?
I wonder by what mechanism the sun regulates its fusion reaction by the percentage of paid off mortgages on earth and what the other planets think about it...
:-)
Privater property is antithetical to communism, which is what all globalists espouse (whatever name they use to try to conceal it), and possibly the most important element of liberty and freedom.
Thats all there is to it.

In my area the focus is on transplanting blacks from the urban slums to the suburbs to attach them to taxpaying hosts; the bankrupt cities can no longer provide basic services for them, and their very presence ensures no tax base will return to those cities.
That is why the Amazon debacle played out as it did in NYC; while some people saw jobs, discretionary income, and income taxes (NY state AND NYC income taxes) as worthwhile goals, the parasite population was roused by AOC pointing out they weren’t PAYING THE GIBSMEDATS. They don’t want jobs - they want corporate sugar daddies - and now they still have vacant lots.
They won’t rush the older people out; they already know many young people are voluntarily choosing to forego private homes. The timing of this is no accident; there has probably never been, in the history of this country since its founding, so few people planning on having children.
another Yale idiot who will never grasp the concept of western civilization being based on private land ownership and God-given individual rights of self-determination.
wonder what hovel this professor lives in? He probably makes more money than most of the parents of the kids taking his classes.
What a nut!
Where is the A.P.A.? They have to know that this stuff is definitely not normal!
Oh wait! They’d lose their hourly charges for all those sessions with these nutjobs!
The apa is too busy reviewing bendy lee and her friends move to have PDJT baker acted for pysch eval.
