Oral arguments in the DC Court of Appeals for the House Judiciary Committee to obtain Mueller’s grand jury information, are scheduled for January 3rd, 2020. The HJC is leveraging the Senate impeachment trial in their arguments to gain access to the Mueller material. This approach is by design.

The rushed House articles were/are a means to an end. That is – a way for House lawyers to argue in court all of the constitutionally contended material is required as evidence for pending judicial proceedings, a trial in the Senate.
This would explain why all the prior evidence debated for inclusion and legal additions to “articles of impeachment” were dropped. Instead the House focused only on quickly framing two articles that could facilitate two pending court cases.
As interested observers will note the House never voted to authorize the full judicial impeachment process; instead they voted to approve an inquiry into whether an impeachment should take place. By not voting to authorize articles of impeachment the House never gained ‘judicial enforcement authority‘.
What the house crew have assembled is an interesting back-door attempt to position a valid claim for evidence against the accused without having first gained judicial authority for it. The HJC is now arguing to appeals courts, and likely to SCOTUS, the blocked evidentiary material is critical evidence in a soon-to-be-held Senate trial.
The House Judiciary Committee (HJC) led by Chairman Jerry Nadler has been seeking: (1) Mueller grand jury material; (2) a deposition by former White House counsel Don McGahn; and less importantly (3) Trump financial and tax records. Each of these issues is currently being argued. [The supreme court will hear financials/taxes in April].
McConnell is saying he's in no rush to get the articles and Pelosi will therefore have all the time she needs to get her hands on all of the salacious gossip in the raw transcripts of the Mueller Grand Jury materials.
She's spending a lot of political capital on this backdoor effort, so she must have already been told that it's a political goldmine of oppo research.
And all she needs is for McConnell to keep sitting on his butt a few more weeks.

If Mueller found no “Russian Collusion”, and we know now that the whole investigation was tainted from the start, why would we take any so called nuggets from Grand Jury info seriously? Sundance doesn't answer that.

I agree with you, I don’t think they will get it either as there is no precedent that I know of, but in the event they do(corrupt judges), it would be appealed all the way up to the SC.
Sundance has seemed more paranoid lately.
If Muller found nothing that he could use all the Left can find is fragments that didn’t pan out but that they can spin. No one believe the media, no one believes the Left. They refused to stop digging a deeper hole & crying wold daily.
Odds that the court won’t let them have the material because of precedent but if they do I doubt it will do anything more than give some gas to the clown car.

As usual, the court answer will depend on who appointed the judge, not the law or facts involved. Which means it goes to the SCOTUS eventually, where mostly the same rule holds.
The Dems know they can’t access Grand Jury testimony and they know there is nothing in it of value to them, or it would have already been leaked. Same with their demands for tax returns. .
Their only reason for pushing this is to always have the next thing, the next demand, the next new headline. Doesn’t matter if this plan is not actually working in their favor; it’s the only game they have, so they’re going full Wile E Coyote over the cliff.

These people are snakes and it is not smart to refuse to take them seriously.

Excuse me if I’m a bit skeptical of grand juries in DC. Haunting memories of the OJ trial.
I certainly would not lie down in their midst.
IMO the shenanigans with Kavanaugh damaged their brand and the continuation of Russia Russia, mah impeachment have hurt them even more. They still have venom but it dribbles from their mouths rather than taking down their chosen victim.
I gave my assessment of this particular act in the dance. That doesn’t change my opinion that the Left/Press/Globalists are the most dangerous threat to the American people and to our Country’s.
We must fight them at every turn, show up their foul deeds & lies, throw them out & keep their coats.
I do feel that POTUS has them on the ropes and will keep up the pressure so I am more hopeful than a year ago.
Remind me. What did the Grand Jury in DC have to do with OJ?

Yeah that might be helpful. I’m having a hard time picturing how that is related to the material Mueller presented to the grand juries.
