Right. Small steps. So the guy who gets drunk and beats his wife at least once a week should try to cut back. Let’s say, he might only get drunk and beat his wife once a month. Then only on holidays, etc. Maybe in 5 years life will be better. That’s real progress.

I am of Irish ancestry.My Dad's older brother absolutely *hated* the British. A fair percentage of we Irish still do. I,however,don't hate the British at all and I must admit that I have a good deal of respect for the Queen. But I consider her to have regal authority...and stature...only in the United Kingdom and the several other countries that accept her authority (Canada,Australia,etc).
Like I said,she seems like a pretty nice girl to me...but we could never be more than friends.
