BEIJING (AP) - China’s imports of soybeans surged in November following the announcement of an interim trade deal with the United States.

Imports rose 53.7% over a year earlier to 5.4 million tons, according to customs data.

Imports of U.S. soybeans more than doubled from the previous month to 2.6 million tons, according to AWeb.com, a news website that serves the Chinese farming industry.

Brazil and the US probably make up 75-percent of the production of soybeans worldwide.

I can remember as a kid on my dad’s soybean farm...in the mid-70s...it hit $10.50 to $11 a bushel on two years out of five, and that was considered a extremely profitable period. We didn’t have thousands in debt tied up to bank loans.

Over the past decade? It’s hit $14 or more in five years out of the ten. The trouble is the last 18 months where it’s been near $8.5 to $9.00 for most of the whole period.

It appears the world is beginning to balance itself in its inter national trade.

President Donald Trump will be written up, in spite of the enemies within our own borders, not only as the greatest President America has ever seen, but the greatest influence on the planet since Alexander.

It feels damned good to be proud to be an American

Re: China’s soybean imports doubled in November

Sounds strange...

The price of USA soybeans actually declined 7.5% in November.

In December, USA soybeans rallied sharply higher, gained back their entire loss, plus another six points.

Where do you guys keep getting this “news”?...

I don’t however see November data on the website, maybe for once, our exports actually increased?

Here is where I’m getting my data:

I’m confused as well.
From the article, “Imports rose 53.7% over a year earlier to 5.4 million tons...Imports of U.S. soybeans more than doubled from the previous month to 2.6 million tons

These two sentences seem to conflict.

I believe Trump to be second only to Washington himself.

A noble thought for a good and humble man, but President Trump has DONE so much stuff in such a short time in spite of extremely active machinations against him .... and he hasn't even completed one term !

Even among us Trumpers, we are forced to admit a magnificent example of what President Washington was .... a successful, educated man willing to serve his nation and then go back home.

President Trump never wanted the job (unless he was playing 3D chess since the 80's, in which case, he's light years ahead of ANY of us), but once in .... he is all in.

And there's yet another (almost) five years left to go.
