Has the death knell on the annoyingly awkward word "Latinx" finally, mercifully, hopefully been sounded by The Atlantic magazine? For anybody even a bit familiar with the Spanish language, "Latinx" just grates on the ears. Unfortunately, for the past few years it has been hyped by many PC types in the media including Vox and even Univision which should know better.
The good news is that liberal The Atlantic seems to have signaled to the rest of the left that it is time to send that word into permanent retirement. Perhaps rational liberals are starting to realize that "Latinx" is so annoying that it only serves to turn off people they are trying to persuade.

On this subject, let's get rid of the useless "cis" to describe biological sex. There is no such thing as a "cis" woman as opposed to a "trans" woman. There are women and crossdressers.
And while we're at it, let's bury the notion that we have to display our "preferred" pronouns. My pronouns are clearly obvious, but if I have have to choose "preferred" pronouns, I prefer "f*ck off/don't care."

How does one pronounce “Latinx”? According to the rules of English diction, it should be LAT-tinks, LAY-tinks or la-TINKS.
I think the delusion that there is a holiday known as "Kwanzaa" and that there are people who celebrate it is finally, mercifully, being put to rest. This season I have noticed almost zero references to Kwanzaa in the media or at the shopping centers. My children's elementary school (with a significant black population) made no mention of it at all in all the holiday hoopla. And while I had yesterday and today off of work, I'll be expected there tomorrow.
It's about time.
How about LatinXX and LatinXY?
It’s a made up word, and should disappear, like womyn and personkind. As for Latino/Latina, English doesn’t have genders, and so these must be changed to Latin-American.
