I believe that she does want at least one “do-over” to start with. As many posters have already said, there will be many attempts to impeach, if Mitch allows them. Maybe the Republicans should sue to stop the stupidity as frivolous harassment and let SCOTUS decide. After impeachment 1 is thrown out.
He needs to end this. They are just going to do endless investigations and ADD more and more articles of impeachment on every single subject and then unload them all at once on the senate. He needs to deal with the current articles and end the process. Make the do SEPARATE impeachments.
IIRC, the term originated with a Republican hack, Don Blankenship, running in the primary for WV senator. The term’s meaning has shifted so that it is now an ironic accolade for Mitch. You will see his supporters using the term, not Democrats.
Pelosi is holding it up so she can bring pressure on the RINO senators, and flip a couple. She won’t get a conviction, but she will be able to manipulate the rules.
The longer she holds onto the impeachment papers the less likely it will lead to a trial. Meanwhile Trumps polls go up and his campaign continues to raise money.
McConnell can’t end this; as long as the democrats have the house, there will be endless investigations and likely more impeachments.

From what I have heard, Director Haspel has a solid record up through the ranks, with extensive field experience. She is not of an office slug mentality, and is not a big politician type.
