Virginians are fighting back against the assault on Second Amendment rights in the commonwealth. The Democrat majority of Virginia’s General Assembly lobs threats against Virginia residents and law enforcement who refuse to comply with the new SB 16 legislation, which prohibits a person from the sale, purchase, and possession of an “assault” firearm, among other restrictions.
It didn’t take long after Democrats won a majority in the General Assembly to introduce gun-grabbing legislation. Yes, the same Democrats who claim, “We aren’t trying to take your guns,” are attempting to enforce draconian laws that only serve to disempower the most vulnerable residents.
And just when you thought totalitarianism was dead, Rep. Donald McEachin (D-VA) suggests cutting off state tax revenue to “2A Sanctuaries” — or counties that don’t comply with gun-control measures. So far, 80 counties have passed 2A sanctuary resolutions. Irresponsibly, McEachin recommended the mobilization of the National Guard to enforce the law should the bill pass.
If that doesn’t enrage you, this will: Democrats state that law-enforcement officers who do not enforce SB 16 will suffer consequences and “should face prosecution,” which sounds exactly like the start of a police state.
Gun-grabbing Democrats hold hands and chant in unison, “No one is above the law,” not knowing how much they empower the evil among ....

Hey, commie...it works both ways. 2A Sanctuaries can quit sending their hard-earned money (taxes) to you azzclowns.
I have mixed feelings for the people in Virginia. On the downside, many Conservatives there stay home, rather than vote in the November elections for a RINO (or GOPe) to ‘teach the Republicans a lesson’...so now these Republican gun owners are being taught a lesson by helping to enable Democrats to take control.
On the good side, so many conservatives and others are pissed in Virginia that they may just flip the state red in 2020, as recent polling shows it to be a clear toss-up for Trump (even though McCain, Romney, and Trump himself lost it in the prior elections). Needless to say, flipping Virginia will make life VERY DIFFICULT for Hillary in 2020.
So the Conservatives of Virginia, by voting (really not voting) to turn in their guns, may just be instrumental in giving Trump another term!
80 out of 95 counties. Where is the normal call for democracy from the Dims? :)
Law enforcement officers in Virginia are going to have to choose if they are bound by the Constitution or the laws of Virginia that are at odds with it.
If they choose the laws against the Constitution they will lose the support of the communities they serve.
What about the people of Alabama who refused to vote for Roy Moore and let Doug Jones win?

The GOP didn’t even bother to run candidates in some of the districts in Virginia.
It’s always a one way street with GOPe, vote for our weasel, but we won’t vote for your dingbat.
I suspect in Alabama there were a lot of solid conservatives also embarrassed by him - it took a lot more people turning on Moore in a state like Alabama than the relative handful of GOPe’s could muster.
In any case, as I implied, I’m happier the way things are turning out in Virginia, than if they managed to stop the gun grab.
It will be interesting to see if Virginians collectively resist gun confiscation. They are facing a dire and imminent threat. Will they revolt?
I always told myself that gun confiscation would be the last straw.

To a lot of us, Roy Moore worked pretty well on his own, to smear himself, particularly during the interview with Hantity, when he said something to the effect “even if it were true, the girls were legal”. Pretty much sealed it himself, as far as I’m concerned.
Patriot militias should storm the state capitol in Richmond as soon as the new legislature introduces a gun grab bill.
The RATs daily show themselves to be pure Leninists.
There’s no way this can possibly end without violence.

It should be overturned by state courts if they uphold the Virginia Constitution, but as we have seen courts get it wrong frequently.

Yes, he was a poor candidate.
That being said, still, you have to vote in terms of what is best for conservatism, and he still was a better candidate than Doug Jones, because he’d vote for our side on the issues.
But I hope he isn’t the nominee this time.
Kolorado is facing the same anti-gun laws as well. I believe 2019 was just a taste before 2020 legislative session starts up. The rural areas no longer balance the state urban areas. Even, Colorado Springs is turning.

I doubt it. To have a revolt, you need a single, identifiable, event - the equivalent of a starting pistol in a track event.
The Dems aren’t nearly dumb enough to do that - they’ll just slowly warm the kettle, but they’ll still achieve their goals, within a decade, easily.
Stop complaining about people not voting for RINOs then.
Do LEOs swear an oath to the US Constitution or to their state Constitution? I do not know. The VA Constitution is very pro 2A.
That is one reason I really dislike that McDaniels idiot chairwoman...she is one lazy witch!! She needs to be replaced! She is a do nothing chair! GET HER OUT!
