A merry Christmas to you as well!
In NJ they basically told the state police to stop pulling over so many minorities on 95 (which connects Florida to NYC); the police obliged, and all of our cities reported sharp increases in gun crimes (the cops had been stopping guns & drugs). Now the state police write accident reports only, and the guns & drugs flow uninterrupted.
The CA governor recently signed off on a law to place additional restrictions of the police use of deadly force, requiring greater efforts to “de-escalate situations”. Though it may sound warm and fuzzy, it’s being revealed as yet more of the left’s quest to reduce the role of CA police to a similar role. I noted a recent article about a Vermont police chief requiring fewer instances in which his officers draw firearms. More and more, in this state, they are coming across as official bagmen for the governor and mayors, focusing on traffic citations. Happy New Year.
While I understand municipalities tire of paying out on police brutality lawsuits, they can’t expect the citizens who pay them to accept disarmament as well (while cops “stand down”).
A happy New Year to you as well - thank you!
