All praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ for without Him there is nothing.

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Christians would do well to remember the faithfulness of God to the Jews on that first Chanukah.Amen. We should be more aware and appreciative of the other Jewish Holy days and Feasts as well.

“Christians would do well to remember the faithfulness of God to the Jews on that first Chanukah.”
The part about the faithfulness of God is true, which is what makes the celebration of Christmas possible, not Chanukah, which is merely a recognition and response to the act of faithfulness. He seeks to exalt the response (Chanukah) over the act.
He could have just as well said that the act of Moses raising his arms to part the waters of the Red Sea is what made Christmas possible.

Oh, for Christ’s sake — he was a Jewish rabbi.
But he was not the first prophet to be born of a virgin and crucified. There were others.
An interesting read might be The Mystic Christ by Ethan Walker III.

My pleasure. There's generally a few more related topics each time we roll around to this most wonderful time of the year.

As you wish friends and family Merry Christmas this year, you might also like to wish them Chanukah Sameach. Without Chanukah, the Celebration of Christmas would not be possible. Seriously?

As a born-again Christian, I've had the sublime privilege of having been invited to participate in
Seders in the homes of our Jewish friends.
Those nights stand as high points in my entire 82+ years here on this planet!
Each time, before we begin, I share with my hosts these very personal truths:
- I share my belief that my Jewish friends are my "Spiritual Elder Brothers".
- I lay claim to the Jewish Scriptures as the spiritual, moral and historical foundation of my beliefs (and of my vocation as a scientist...).
- I rejoice with them in our Lord's deliverance of our spiritual ancestors on that ancient night of Pesach (Passover) in Egypt.
- I thank them for the opportunity to participate in the Seder, which my own Lord and Saviour, Himself, celebrated shortly before His death. (AKA "The Last Supper").
- I share my conviction that the main thing that differentiates us is that
My "Dayenu" continues beyond where theirs ends -- and, its last stanza is:
"He is risen!"!מַסְפִּיק, דַּי
IOW, every step along the path is required -- and depends upon preceding steps...
