AN updated Mexico Danger Map prompted US government officials to warn travelers about "widespread" crime, as murders, kidnappings, carjackings and robberies continue to rise.

The stark warning was issued this week by the US State Department who urged Americans to avoid traveling to certain Mexican states where violent crime is rife.

We need to extend the “do not travel” warnings to much of the US, as well. Those animals are worse than kalifornians, turning everything they touch into garbage.

“Can’t even say that about my upper-class area of Colorado.”

We were driving home from the Botanic Gardens in Denver last night and the streets looked like a zoo. I hate Denver.

Even the notion of private property giving the owner the right to forbid firearms is unConstitutional. The wording is RKBA shall not be infringed. There are no qualifications, no exception. No government entity nor any other entity may infringe. It is absolute. I tend to allow the owner to say whether he wants guns on his property or not but that also determines where I will do my business.

From the article-- In grim Guerrero state, armed groups don't answer to the government, where they implement terrifying roadblocks and use violence towards holiday makers.

Acapulco is there, and I remember it to be a good place many years ago.

Last year I read where they disarmed the Acapulco police and had them all take lie detector tests.
An indication of a major problem.

I have been to Acapulco a few times 20-30 years ago and liked it. They have an excellent climate.

A friend liked Acapulco so much he went up the hill from the waterfront and found a Mexican family who would give him room and board for a reasonable price and he spent many, many winters there for 4-6 weeks at a time in Jan and Feb.

That's all gone now, as it is too dangerous, even for native Mexicans, and especially for us "GRINGOS". -Tom

No push back from the Republicans? Have you forgotten Speaker Paul the Bastard Ryan?

I think Trump knew he was walking an impeachment tightrope for the day of the election.

As I look back I think he was seriously close to being impeached, by the Republican House, and removed from office, by the Republican Senate, several times during the first two years.

One of the biggest mistakes the US made in the Mexican-American war was giving back to Mexico the conquered land. The US had beat them all the way to Mexico City. Imagine if America had annexed all that land and resources. Our problems with the Cartels, illegal immigration, and US business moving to Mexico would be almost non-existant.

What ever happened to the "spoils of war"? Why does the US always give nations that we defeat their country back? We could have owned Japan, western Germany, Italy, Iraq, etc. Then, we always have to re-build them on our dime. Yes, I know that we prefer not to be an empire, but why not? Think about how many of our problems would have never occurred by annexing those nations. Think of the power, the geo-political influence, the reduced tensions in the ME by owning Iraq, alone.

I posted a tongue-in-cheek response to one of the "You stole our land!" types. Told him that in 1847 the land on both sides of the border looked identical. We turned our side into a generator of wealth and prosperity while they turned theirs into one of drug-ridden corruption and poverty. Had we kept ALL of Mexico, the place would be as prosperous as Texas.

Finished by telling him that next time, we won't give back half but take everything clear down to the Guatamalan border.

Thought there would be shreiks of outrage, from him, if not the rest of the zoo, but - nothing.

Wrong, the Constitution forbids the United States and the several States from infringing the rights of the People.

One of those rights is for individuals to determine what happens on their property.

You are not violating free speech if you told someone with a Rainbow Flag t-shirt to cover it or leave. They could do the same with your weapon on their property.

The 2amd is absolute. You parse the amendment for me and show me where it makes an exception for private property.

Your point is dead on accurate.

I have a good friend who is from the DR and he HATES Haitians with an intensity that is very off putting. He’s a great guy and a great American but you stand back when he gets on a roll about Haiti
