To that end, I wonder if the puppet masters informed Clinesmith that he would be thrown under every bus rolling through DC? Probably not as they all thought they were going to get away with it and/or thinking that Mueller would be able to come up with something to try and cover things up.
You want information from Clinesmith? No plea bargain or water boarding needed. Take him into custody under the NDAA. Instead of putting him in some tame, federal detention center, put him the DC-city jail with the crackheads, dope dealers, murderers, and robbers. Let him mingle with those folks for a while, no special treatment. Won’t take long before he’s screaming from his cell to speak to the AG, directly.
