I predict Texas will surpass California in the next 50 years.

State pensioners have bolted to Nevada for no state income taxes. It’s one thing for people with private pensions leaving the state, but these people benefited hugely from the state. It seems it would be easy to track the state pensions that aren’t being taxed since the state is paying them.

If California has a stagnant population, how the heck are they going to pick up 19 House seats after the census ?!?!?!?

The link is to the communist site MSN, not the specific AP story you have to scroll through to find.

That’s a country. In fact, it’s as big as two Scandinavias.
Can we cut them loose? They can have Nancy, whatever office they want to give her.

No citizenship questions on census forms. Wetbacks
make up difference.

The report shows California added more than 180,000 people when accounting for births and deaths for the 12 month period ending July 1. But when you include people who moved in and out of the state, California lost 39,500. An even more telling figure would be, for those age 20 to 70, what is the net income of the "incoming" vs. net income of the "outgoing" people. This figure has it's problems, such as not accounting for income potential of young people coming in, but, nonetheless it would be a useful data point.

Obviously, they need more taxes and regulation. Problem solved!

Not sure what you are asking for?
KA got away with taxing the retirement income of the folk who escaped for far too long.
They called it the “Source Tax”.
So even if you left for a less expensive state and had no representation or presence in KA you still got taxed.
It took an act of congress to eventually put a stop to it.
NV congresswoman Barbara Vucanovich was the true author and force behind the bill.
Once she retired several others claimed the honor, including Dingy Reid.

Friends living in Carmel always keep on the back burner they will leave one day. But they have built up solid reputations and successful businesses in their work, (one an Attorney and the other a Real-Estate Agent)...So it will be a heavy lift when they do go and start again.

Mexico has reclaimed it.
And it has more than 10% of the vote in the House.

Sadly, as I hear it, the flow of people into South Florida is making it difficult to get around down there. I have loads of family there, and they are telling me even in slow seasons it's twice as long to drive around due to the number of cars on the road.
At least Florida has true conservative leadership. Let's pray they keep it now that the fraud machine in Broward and PBC are crushed.

It is worse than that; just as in NJ and NY, the FUTURE taxpayers are fleeing. The effect is most clearly seen in unwanted single-family homes, declining college enrollment, and open borders to keep up the population - and morale.
California has real ghost towns from the Gold Rush; NJ and NY are determined to prevent that natural result of the government policies here.
