This was the 1939 musical that introduced Desi Arnaz to the world. The star of the movie version would be Lucille Ball, which is another amazing fact. Eddie Bracken and Van Johnson were also in the cast.

Lee was way ahead of her time. She worked the jazz of the 1930s like Bobby Short would work the 1960s onward.
