There was just a hysterical article in our local paper by a university professor about how the sea level here was going to rise 3 meters by 2050 and flood us out.
You can go on the NOAA website and figure out how fast sea level actually rises. Here the actual increase is about 6 inches per century. Since 3 meters is almost 10 feet, it will take about 2,000 years for sea levels here to rise 3 meters.
