President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he signed “groundbreaking” legislation supporting historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

The legislation will permanently fund HBCUs and simplify federal financial aid applications for millions of families, the president said in a statement Thursday.

“President Obama and the Obama Administration were unable to get this done. I got it done,” Trump said, arguing that HBCUs have never had a champion in the White House before his presidency.

Funding for the HBCU’s was in jeopardy a few months ago until the White House and Congress collaborated on a “historic agreement,” the president said.

In any case, I don’t support throwing more free sh!t their way; there is just less and less incentive to pay taxes if it is just going to fund our own demise.

This isn't free shit.

Once they get a college education, they will have higher paying jobs, paying higher taxes.

Now, if your referring to Obama phones, I'm with you.

I had a black co-worker describe that scenario to me after the 2016 election; she never pursued it.

I’ve dealt with their “college educations”; until education is reformed, most are worthless pieces of paper.

Can non-blacks get this money for a college education, so they can have higher paying jobs and pay higher taxes?

You are assuming they are getting degrees in careers that are useful rather than parasitic or worthless.

Bad assumption given what colleges pass off as “education”.

I’m sure the Congressional Black Caucus will condemn him as “raciss” sometime in February.

Bernie Sanders wants Fed.gov to pay for their breakfast, lunch and dinner, until they are 18, then Trump’s programs will take over after that.

Too late now since it is signed into law. Pandering is universal.

This is wrong. It’s openly racist. Where are the Historically White Universities? Historically Asian Universities.

Yep - doing good things for the Black community is an act of obstructing the Congress by eroding the number of Blacks who wish to stay on the Dem plantation...clearly impeachable.
