One of the top impeachment witnesses the Democrats presented in their case against President Donald Trump, just took a hatchet to the plans of Nancy Pelosi to gain the upper hand against Senate Republicans in any trial against Trump.
Harvard Law professor Noah Feldman said in an op-ed on Thursday that Democrats have not yet impeached the president despite their vote last night.
Uh, oh!
Feldmans op-ed at Bloomberg News comes as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is considering withholding sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate because she is worried that the political trial would be biased in favor of the president.
So far we havent seen anything that looks fair to us, Pelosi told reporters last night. That wouldve been our intention, but well see what happens over there.
Feldman noted that according to the Constitution, impeachment is a process, not a vote, and that while a modest delay would not pose a problem, a lengthy delay would be a serious problem.
(Sorry, Nancy, it gets even worse...)

I am on this thread for one reason., I know trump is impeached, he knows he is impeached, his advisors know he is impeached, McConnell and the house republican leaders know he is impeached; but a few ignorant people don’t seem to understand that, even when faced with overwhelming numbers of conservative sources saying he is impeached, just as clinton was impeached after the house vote,
In my reading I didn’t come across a time frame.
I did think McConnell should announce a trial start date and ask the speaker to submit her managers in about 12 days from now.
Farticus?
Maybe he meant the Black plow man, hard to tell.
Older than what?
;)
A term from the Kavanaugh hearings where he proclaimed himself “Spartacus”.
We thought that was a little over the top. His new name fits.
I thought it was the new name for the congressman who farted loud on TV after coming out off the hearing room. The one who keeps telling the same lie till he comes up with abetter one.
Pelosi does not think it is fair because she will not agree with the outcome in the Senate. It is not Pelosi’s role to dictate the outcome in the Senate. Her work is over. She failed as a leader. Now, send the articles to the Senate and get on with the show. At the end of 2020, do everyone a favor and retire Mrs. Pelosi.
Maybe the Senate should take its case to the Supreme Court and request that the court order the House submit the articles of impeachment.
If the court so orders and the house fails to comply Trump should then send in a hand-picked FBI swat team to drag Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler away in chains.
Mitch comes across a miquetoast, but if Nancy gets out of control I think he has it in him to rip off off her head and sh*t down her neck. I don’t think she wants to go there.
Yang was in the middle of the PBS race segment and exclaimed about Booker, “He’ll be Back!”.
The mad MSNBC farter is SwalWell.

“pass a Senate rule saying that articles of impeachment must be transmitted to the Senate within X days.”
Is it stipulated anywhere HOW, precisely, the Articles must be transmitted - the exact method? If not, then they were transmitted via the news media. Sounds like a no brainer.
I saw yang say that. He’s the funnest dec other to wait for a Biden gaffe.
That’s the farter i was thinking of . Orator of the week. Thanx.
That's no way to talk about hard working honest rodents everywhere! You should apologize to the general rodent population!
On the other hand; if you were talking about a rabid diseased senile extremely senior rodent with no teeth and barely a working brain then I would owe you the apology.

Right. He sounded like a defeated man tonight.
Warren also sounded desperate. She looks unwell...must’ve lost 25 pounds since first debate.
Steyer is a nobody. Most unimpressive.
Mayor Pete was good on Afghanistan. He should know. He put on the uniform and fought there.
Yang is a pleasant guy. I wouldn’t mind getting a free thousand every month. On Soc. Sec. I only get $700.
All in all, a very forgettable debate with very inconsequential participants.
Trump has nothing to worry about.
Gee...the House Judiciary Committee formulated and approved (on strict party line vote) a document entitled Articles of Impeachment. The Speaker scheduled debate and a vote on Articles of Impeachment. There were ten or so hours of debate by the full House on a document called Articles of Impeachment. There was a vote by the full House on those Articles of Impeachment. At the end, the vote was tallied and the Speaker of the House announced that the Articles of Impeachment had passed. During the entire process, the House Parliamentarian raise no procedural issue concerning the execution of the debate and voting on said Articles of Impeachment. Nor did the Republican opposition.
Then Professor Feldman comes along and says that the 435 members of the House didn’t know what they were doing and didn’t actually complete the impeachment process as voted on earlier. Fortunately (for House Democrats), this incompetent execution has the convenient effect of allowing the House inquiry to remain open. However, to claim the prize the Democrats must admit to this incompetence.
Professor Feldman is the very image of a “tool” and his picture should appear in the dictionary next to the entry for the same.
Witness puked.
On the other hand; if you were talking about a rabid diseased senile extremely senior rodent with no teeth and barely a working brain then I would owe you the apology.
I’m thinking of a rabid diseased senile rat with
so much botox it’s whiskers have turned into eyebrows.
Her eye brows looked like a drunk smeared them on
with a grease pencil.
No, you were right. It was the end of the 1st session of the 116th Congress. The 2nd session starts in January.
I’m not sure what the legislative ramifications are though. Does an undelivered impeachment die if the House has said it has concluded its business for the session?
This is about the fifty-third time I've seen a headline like this in the last couple months.
Anytime Nancy whines about a "fair process," ask about the process in the House.
Make the Rodents an offer they can't refuse. Announce the Senate will take up consideration of Impeachment on a date in January, using the published record as charge and evidence.
If they want to participate, they should be there.
