Democrats’ Top Impeachment Witness Just NUKED Pelosi’s Entire Senate Strategy

One of the top impeachment witnesses the Democrats presented in their case against President Donald Trump, just took a hatchet to the plans of Nancy Pelosi to gain the upper hand against Senate Republicans in any trial against Trump.

Harvard Law professor Noah Feldman said in an op-ed on Thursday that Democrats have not yet impeached the president despite their vote last night.

Uh, oh!

Feldman’s op-ed at Bloomberg News comes as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is considering withholding sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate because she is worried that the political trial would be biased in favor of the president.

“So far we haven’t seen anything that looks fair to us,” Pelosi told reporters last night. “That would’ve been our intention, but we’ll see what happens over there.”

Feldman noted that “according to the Constitution, impeachment is a process, not a vote,” and that while a modest delay would not pose a problem, a lengthy delay would be a “serious problem.

I'm just saying that Trump has the unique ability to rewind everything he said. Because we, his supporters, won't give a Schitt if he does.

No i got in trouble when a guy said kill all gay teachers and i broke him down psychologically and left him in a puddle weeping. I got suspended and he walked after advocating murder. I thought the owner might want to not have creepers threaten to kill people.

Then I said since Elian’s mother was dead his father had the right and responsibility to raise him. Someone insulted the war dead in my family and i went ballistic. i was banned and they weren’t. I thought that was strange.

last time I took on an anti-gay guy who kept posting bogus research, also in my academic wheelhouse, from what i can remember. He didn’t understand what real research was. I didn’t know the owner was hot on no homosexual support. i wasn’t really supporting. I had disagreed with influence of kids, nambla and such. but i supported equal rights jobs, housing etc,. So became persona non grata. Everytime i got into it, I was suspended and they weren’t

I opposed Iraq and favored going into Iran the “biggest exporter of terrorism according to our government.” They threatened us and needed a beat down.

I stop trying about 2006. If you search bigsigh you can see some of my post from there back.

Anyway, looking ahead not back.

You present the argument as if criminal Grand Juries operate in a vacuum. My understanding is that the prosecutor leads the Grand Jury by the hand through the evidence they believe will win an indictment and is present when the approval is achieved. Similarly, people are acting as if the House and the Senate are not both elements of "the Congress". The Senate is right next door. The impeachment votes are not secret. Copies of the articles are distributed freely throughout the House and are in the possession of all members. One only had to hear the applause to know that Trump had been impeached.

The requirement to deliver the articles, much like the requirement to prosecute the articles, is an obligation of the House. It is a result of impeachment but not an essential element of accomplishing impeachment.

To believe that Trump has not been impeached is to believe that Nancy Pelosi now has the power to decide whether Trump is to be impeached or not impeached. It's ridiculous to think that the Constitution gives her that power. The impeachment power has already been wielded.

He was in the Balkans somewhere and post3d as arranger or some special force. CAL who was big time here, fell for him. Their posts bordered on love letters. One night I told them to get a room or some such. She laughed. i knew her as a strong active creeper. he tried to impress me by posting his medals.

some military vet called him on it and showed that some of his medals were either conflicting as to time or wars or place. He suddenly stopped posting and more military came along and validated his medal list was impossible. I didn’t want to guy to go away My actions were inadvertent and i never served and knew little about medals except my dad had purple heart from WWII. But the other freepers called him out.

That’s one of the things i like. Someone will come along and set things right on almost any topic. this site is self correcting and that’s a good thing.

For all those, including Democrat members of Congress that do not know the United States Constitution:
Article 1. Section 2:

The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

(this dose not describe what elected officials by title)

Article 1. Section 3:

The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

There is no discussion or allowance for members of congress to be present or have managers present to present the case. It is not spelled out. That is just how the first impeachments were conducted by the rules of the bodies of the Congress and Senate. Each body sets up their own rules, but those rules are subservient to the rule of law in the constitution. Thus the Senate can conduct the trial when ever they want and without members of congress even present. The vote by congress to impeach has been completed and must now be acted on.
