Since the Senate sets its own rules, what Ginsburg says about it means nothing.
I think Ruthie is completely full of BS on this one. Senators have the Constitutional obligation and right to try the impeachment case. I would think nobody could take that away except by a disciplinary vote by the Senate . . . but I am certainly not a Constitutional scholar. It is my understanding that Roberts would conduct the trial in accordance with rules voted on and established by the Senate. I guess a lot has to do with what those rules provide.
