“But it’s difficult to find a chord sequence that hasn’t been used, and hasn’t been the focus of lots of pieces of music. Its harmonic progression is almost a mathematical certainty - you’re gonna crop up with the same thing sooner or later if you sit strumming a few chords on a guitar. There’s certainly no bitterness or any sense of plagiarism attached to my view on it, although I do sometimes allude, in a joking way, to accepting it as a kind of tribute. It’s a bit like this tribute Rolex that I’m wearing.”

I watched about 15 minutes (all I could stand) of Elysium with Matt Damon last night. It was a bit interesting that in that time Los Angeles was a massive slum of Spanish speaking ghetto living people who didn't want to work, complaining about the rich.
They seem right on target.

If what I’ve read is correct police no longer have a right to remove vagrants from street encampments unless the cops are moving them into state-provided shelters. This would mean that public property no longer belongs to the public, and that all people are wards of the state.

Don Felder wrote the music but Henley is the more lippy, liberal, and litigious one.
