House Democrat Claims Trump Could Be Prosecuted Later for 'Multiple Crimes'

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said on Thursday President Trump could still be prosecuted at a later date for possible "multiple crimes" that he has committed.

"The Republicans seem to be suggesting that there needs to be a statutory crime and prosecution before there’s a constitutional crime and impeachment. And of course, that is not at all the intent of the Framers and that’s not what’s happened before. Bill Clinton had not been prosecuted before. Richard Nixon hadn’t been prosecuted before," Raskin told CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

"The Constitution in Article II talks about treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors, and both sides have always understood that abuse of power is an offense against the Constitution, as well as obstruction of Congress," he continued.

Blitzer said Republicans had impeached former President Bill Clinton for lying under oath to a federal grand jury. Blitzer then Raskin asked if believed Trump had not actually committed a crime.

"Well, no, there was, perhaps multiple crimes committed by this president," Raskin replied. "Bill Clinton had not been prosecuted or indicted for perjury. They just pled the elements of perjury in the article of impeachment. We’ve pled within our impeachment and in the accompanying report lots of factual evidence that could lead to prosecution of the president later."

The House Judiciary Committee passed the two articles of impeachment, abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, along party lines last week. The full House is expected to vote on the articles on Wednesday.

Well here we go. They may pull some more absurdity in 2020. The more they pull the more states Trump will have so that by January 2021 Trump will be in his second term and the republicans will own both houses of Congress ending this bull flop.

Case in Point....About 5 minutes before Bubba left the Whitehouse for the last time, his attorney stepped to the mike and recited the agreement that Bubba and the DOJ ? came to in exchange for no criminal charges for anything that happened during his years in the Whitehouse,,,he would give up his law license for 5 years, would never practice before the Supreme Court etc etc..

I can still picture the attorney at the mike....and then watch Bubba leave a few minutes later.

Any of you out there who still hold to the old “call your Congressman” trope for getting things to change -— pretend THIS d-bag is your Congressman (as he is mine, thanks to gerrymandering). This country is irretrievably split. One side cannot peacefully coexist with the other much longer.

Isn’t falsely accusing someone of crime illegal?

James reads the deep state script.

James gets access to DNC re-election coffers.

If control of the House isn’t taken from them, they will continue this nonsense without end.

This would be police harassment if a private citizen had to deal with this.

More like prosecutions. Not going after the FISA fraud players from day #1 was a high and series mistake.

All the signatories to those FISA court documents need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

If the democrats can’t cheat their way into office then they and the MSM will hound the non establishment Republicans from office by unrelenting accusations and fabrication of bogus crimes. Get used to it, this is the new norm of US politics.
