Five African-American students seen pummeling a 14-year-old white boy on a school bus in a video released last week have been charged with misdemeanor battery.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said the State's Attorney's Office "stated that this incident does not meet criteria for a hate crime."

Political affiliation isn’t protected under hate crime statutes so feel free to kick the living shit out of any commie you can get your hands on.
If they happen to be black just make sure you call them commie instead of a racial pejorative while doing it.

Nope. Never happen. Too many here posting, “We can’t do that. That would lower us to their standards”. Or words to that effect. So we just say,”If you want to strike me, go ahead and strike me. Soon your hand will tire. My face will heal.” If our grandfathers had that philosophy during World War 2, we would have been soap that some German washed their butt with. Bit it is what it is today.
I see a 14th Amendment challenge to the hate crime law. While I see thought crimes as unconstitutional to begin with, I’d love to see a civil right challenge by the next white accused.
775.085 Evidencing prejudice while committing offense; reclassification.— (1)(a) The penalty for any felony or misdemeanor shall be reclassified as provided in this subsection if the commission of such felony or misdemeanor evidences prejudice based on the race, color, ancestry, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, homeless status, or advanced age of the victim:
Beating up somebody because of their political views is not included as a hate crime, and somehow liberal DAs rarely enhance charges where the victim is white, particularly if the victim is a young white heterosexual male.
Thank goodness school buses have on-board cameras now, making
prosecution much easier. And failure to protect a “student victim” in future makes the school system culpable. Ca-ching!

Don’t know the Superintendent, but his written explanation of the assault is troubling. He appears to be a very weak leader, and in today’s environment that can, and did, get someone hurt.

I hope that you are right! I, too hope things change. That people see what is actually happening versus what they are told is happening. When I did that years ago[ Started seeing for myself what was happening instead of believing what they told me that was happening, I parted company with the Democrat Party].
The key to hate crime classification is the motivation of the person accused of the crime. If the criminal act was motivated simply by the defendant’s prejudice or hatred of the victim because of the victim’s perceived race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, the criminal act qualifies as a hate crime.
Ok so change them with a 1st amendment Federal Crime

At the very least it should charged as a Felony and brokered down to a Misdemeanor of the circumstances warrant. They are already giving the Criminals the benefit of the doubt.
Use this to throw out all “hate crime” laws, as well as every conviction using such laws due to lack of equal protection.

I saw a guy beaten by three blacks because he had a Union Jack tattooed on his neck 20 years ago. The morons thought it was the Stars and Bars.
