There’s no such thing as an anonymous call. The FBI can trace any call. We could give an anonymous call about Hunter Biden and have them follow up on that if they want to play that game.

The DS loves Mr. Anonymous, alias Mr. Whistleblower.

I’m not so sure that’s true, for one.

Back in the day, there was a cellphone service that was used in and around the Atlanta area and Southeast. Can’t remember the name, but it was basically PrePay for everything. Buy the phone for cash and pre-pay for your service. We would get the number, verify that it was this service and try to get the biographical information on the account, like you and I have with whatever our choice of service is.

We would soon discover that the accounts belonged to the following: F*ckDaPolice, S*ckMyDick, F*ckCops, BlowMe, etc etc etc. I think the point is well made.

And then you have the internet based phone services, which anyone with some computer knowledge can hide their IP.

And then, toss in a complicit FBI/DOJ/ etc and ask, did they want or even try to verify anything or are they just making this up as a way to cover up what they did?

Someone calls the police and offers an anonymous tip, some verification is attempted depending on the severity of the crime alleged. Try to call the number back to get more info. But it is for damned sure NOT for initiating a FISC warrant, wire taps, and everything else they did.

As I understand the convoluted article, this was not an anonymous call to the FBI.

Steele had a “Primary Source” telling him dirt on Trump. That “Primary Source” gathered the information from someone whose identity he did not know.

So the FBI spied on the Trump campaign based on what an unidentified person supposedly told another guy, who told Steele. The unidentified person claimed to have heard some of his hearsay from others, who did not claim to be eyewitnesses.

It beggars belief that anyone could pretend this material had any value whatsoever. Yet the FBI used it for their FISA warrant application. But I’d better stop criticizing the FBI; might hurt the rule of law, per former FBI Director William Webster.
