The remarks from Rep. A. Donald McEachin (D-Va.) suggesting that Gov. Ralph Northam (D) “may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law” comes as dozens of counties across Virginia have declared themselves “Second Amendment sanctuaries”...
If the Constitution of the United States is to be enforced, Northam and the rest of the Demagogic Party a-holes in Virginia should indeed be rounded up and removed from office.
Gov Northam, when your people get killed coming for the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s guns, just think of it as a post birth abortion which you support.
Let’s be honest though. We are FAR more at risk from local law enforcement rent-a-cops than we are from the military. I’d be far more concerned about blue state authoritarian police than I am about their National Guard elements. Am I the only one who has made the connection that states with restrictive gun laws also have the highest incidents of police overuse of force?
They aren’t “his people,” they’re Virginia’s people, that he’s setting against them. He’s safe and sound in Richmond, while VNG men and women are facing some otherwise harmless farmer’s 12 gauge because of a whim of the legislature.
Virginia is for Gun Grabbers...their new slogan...

..you bet...! just spoke on the ‘phone with a former neighbor of ours when we lived in Virginia... he and his wife went to a local sporting goods store (in the Central Virginia area...) to get a S&W Shield .380 EZ and he said the place was mobbed ...not enough staff to handle all the BATF Form 4473/NICS activities....guns going out the door in a steady stream....Governor [Comrade] Northam should be nominated for “Gun Salesman of the Year” as far as I am concerned....

Just keep in mind that the VANG general can order whatever he wants on orders from the Governor, but that does not mean any of the unit commanders or troops will respond.
The federal government can step in, nationalize their mission and order a stand down.
This is not 1860 where there was a unity of contiguous states, each with a majority of support from the populace. Virginia is very localized in democratic support in the populated areas. Rural VA is much less so. That is the reason that after 1860 VA split into West VA which opposed secession and what is now VA.
....the VANG would not be “nationalized”... that appears to be a poor choice of words.... for example, when the Governor of the Commonwealth calls out VANG units in times of snow or flooding etc. he is within his rights to do so, but those Guardsmen (oppps, sorry...not PC enough...”Guardspersons”) are not serving under Title 10 rules if I recall...

I would surmise that there would have to be some damn awful reasons for the Virginia National Guard to be “federalized” and only the President in his role as Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces could legally do that...
It wasn’t “Virginians” that voted for this.
It was all the transplants from more leftist states and the hordes of leftist-voting immigrants now living in Virginia that voted for this.
I always said this was the hill I would die on. I hope it doesn’t come to that but this is the line in the sand.
