Look, Kim was firing off long range missiles every few months when Trump engaged. Since then he has fired a few intermediate range missiles. As far as we know he has cooled it on his Nuclear ambitions too. Now that’s not to claim that things are perfect. They’re a long way from it, but something was accomplished to this point.

Trump did try to persuade the guy. I have no problem with that. Going in with guns blazing from the get-go wasn’t going to pull international leaders on board.

Negotiating in good faith, will make Kim look like the problem in the end. Once folks grasp that universally, the U. S. will have to do what we would have liked to have seen done years ago.

Being the President doesn’t give you instant international and even national support. You have to earn it, and this process has been open enough for folks to know Trump won’t be flying off the handle when he needs to take action.

What better option did we have than this?

What better option? The anti-communist in me - how many of our servicemen have died fighting against these communists in Korea, Vietnam, and elsewhere - revolts against the very idea of buddy-buddy negotiating with them.

My dad fought against them from Pusan to the Yalu River, myself in the cold war.

Crazy world, we fought against the communists in foreign lands rather than have to fight them here. A great many Americans died fighting them there. And here they are today, every day in our faces in the form of the Democrat Party.

Sorry, I cringe at the very idea of any kind of accomodations made with them. I don’t trust any deal made with these godless lying devils.

But then, I’m not president, neither are you. Dealing with the communists is his job, not ours. One man’s opinion.
