Actually there should be a land mark ruling limiting Congress’s abuse of it investigative powers for partisan political reasons.

The Court has an excellent opportunity here to smack the Congress for it reckless abuse of power hard. The Court needs to hit them hard to impose a reminder of the legal limits on their powers in dealing with Co Equal branches of Govt.

“Actually there should be a land mark ruling limiting Congress’s abuse of it investigative powers for partisan political reasons.”

That “power” is a privilege ceded to Congress by the Executive and subsequently reinforced by a series of court rulings.

It’s extra-constitutional.

Otherwise, Bill and Hillary Clinton's medical records - that they never released to anyone - would have made for very interesting reading compared to the Trumps' financial records. Not to mention Obama's school records and passport file(s).

I think the 'rats' long game is to try to discourage anyone with any amount of success in the world outside of The Swamp from ever running for President again.
