Democrats removed or changed President Donald Trump’s words multiple times on Thursday, including changing the word “us” to “me.”
The 'change to the transcript' of Trump’s July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was made as the House Judiciary Committee debated two articles of impeachment against Trump.
During the debate, Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-Texas) changed “us” to “me” while making an analogy to try to assert that Trump committed a crime.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) removed a word from the transcript, quoting Trump as saying, “I would like you to do a favor though,” removing the word “us.”

Another reason for a full blown trial in the Senate.
They'll be a trial, but it won't be "full blown". McConnell is lying through his ass. Trump won't be able to call just anyone as a witness or submit just any evidence into the record. This will be a very limited trial, and when the OP votes to acquit (fingers crossed), the DEMs and media will claim the GOP covered for Trump.
“Democrats Get Trump Phone Call Transcript Wrong” is like calling the FBI’s treasonous conduct “errors and omissions”.
They can't work with the truth because it's so foreign to them, thus they resort easily to changing words and meanings, eliminating truth, denial and heavily utilize deception as this is 'the operational realm' they choose to live in and by...

Someone else posted that Trump is ok with an abbreviated process. I’m not so sure he really believes that but I think he can’t fight both the demodogs and the republiwimps.
He and a few brave souls (quite a few in the House, BTW, I am very appreciative of the House Republicans standing up for Trump as bravely as they did), are alone in DC.
Even if he had said “me”, so what?
“Do me a favor” is a common metaphor in casual conversation. Equivalent to “I would like you to...”. To construe that phrase as some sort of legally binding indication of a literal personal favor is absurd.
E.g., DMAF and STFU.
I think it’s possible that Trump is going to trust McConnell with the Senate trial. I know a lot of people here have unkind words for Mitch, but he has been rock solid when it comes to getting the federal judiciary reshaped.
Maybe Trump gets more out of the Republicans in the long run by going along with the Republican leadership on this. Also, there’s probably not much he can do about it. It is there decision.
