It's not a coup. It's a civil war.

Lately, it's been convenient — and self-serving to some — to call what is going on with the Trump administration a coup. It's a "soft coup" or a "silent coup" or a wish-it-were-a-coup.

Let's take a look at what that means. According to all definitions I can find, a coup is a sudden, often violent overthrow of a government. Every time I look up the definition of a coup, I get something like this from Merriam-Webster: "a sudden decisive exercise of force in politics." But there is nothing sudden about this.

Have you ever thought, "What would a modern civil war look like?" Tanks rolling down the streets of Washington, D.C.? Missiles targeting the Congress? Armed forces storming the White House or Capitol Building? None of these would accomplish anything. So what would a modern-day civil war look like?

At least since the 1960s, a faction of people have been looking for a chance to make our government conform to what they think it should be. This faction has identified itself in many ways, and its members always embrace Marxist ideals with a top-down government run by a few. A "law-based" government, on the other hand, would have a constitution to protect the rights of the minority from the "tyranny" of the majority. That is what the United States of America is: a law-based government founded on the belief that those working in government are employees of the people, and not that the people are subservient to them. And all decisions are to be based on our agreement to form such a government — that is, as spelled out in our Constitution.

“Lets be blunt”

I agree and bluntly put the only way to rectify the current situation is Trump callings martial law, suspending habeus corpus and rounding up all these suspects by the scruff of their necks and putting them in jail. I’m talking Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi as coup ringleaders followed by all the known denizens of the deep state that our alphabet agencies are riddled with.

All democrats are presently guilty of conspiracy to overthrow the elected government.
“The republican principle demands that the deliberate sense of the community
should govern the conduct of those to whom they intrust the management of their affairs;

but it does not require an unqualified complaisance to every sudden breeze of passion or to every transient impulse

which the people may receive from
the arts of men the MSM and the Democrat Party,

who flatter their prejudices to betray their interests.” ― Alexander Hamilton

Why must all the burden be on President Trump to stop this? Martial law, suspending habeus corpus and rounding up the coup leaders only plays into the abuse of power story.

It is up to ALL of us to stop the coup, CWII or whatever.

Partner, it is execution for these people that participated in the Coup Attempt and they did twice. They will die with a scarf around their eyes and shot to death by executioners.

The DemonRat party is acting like they do not care well they have got to contend with this monster.

President Trump will win easily in the 2020 Election on November 4th of 2020.

And everything that should be know about him is still hidden from the American people.

Maybe in Trumps second term somehow those things will come to light.

And if it’s all what we think it is then everything he enacted is null and void!

Personally I cringe at the thought of martial law but have you called your rep or senator lately? They don’t give a ratz azz what you think or say. So unless you are suggesting that we all pick up a gun and start making hard decisions I’m not sure what “we” can do about this.

Much truth in this statement but I would narrow it down to dem pols and there may be a few exceptions.

Treason still has the death penalty if I'm not mistaken.

that is, as spelled out in our Constitution.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It says natural born citizen.
Obama is not one.
No child of a foreign national is a natural born citizen.
NATURAL BORN CITIZENS are NATURALLY citizens because they cannot possibly be anything else, born here of citizen parents.
Anyone born with divided citizenship is PRECISELY who the founders were excluding.
Obama was never eligible.
And neither are any of the popular children of foreign nationals that wear R jerseys that caused the GOP to go along with the Kenyanesian Usurpation.
Jindal, Rubio, Haley, Cruz and George P. Bush.
Remember the deragatory comments of Page and Strzok about Trump supporters at Wal Mart?
That shows the level of contempt the democrat party has for regular working people. (When are people going to WTH up-The democrats don't give a sh*t about you. To them you are peasants who need to be controlled-so shut up and do what you're told. They wil tell you what you are "allowed" to say and do.)
The fact that the dems have launched a coup(war) against us and our duly elected president should not suprise anyone.
They are lawless corrupt thugs hell-bent to turn this nation into a Marxist nightmare.
Yes, yes..... a little journalistic hyperbole to reinforce the point is fashionable.
Those caught up in the net can be released if their guilt is negligible and other than pure association.
You and several others have raised the issue of treason. I had in mind sedition. Not being a lawyer and not having played on on TV, I don’t really know which is the crime.
I’m in favor of 1792 type justice for say seditious conspiracy that is all encompassing and doesn’t confuse domestic and foreign enemies. The crimes are against our Republic and must be severely punished with a sentence that can not be pardoned a few years down the road
Too bad Burt Lancaster is dead. He could have played Adam Schiff in the Movie, with Michael Moore playing Nadless.
It’s a coup when the Republicans don’t fight back.
It’s a civil war when Republicans fight back.
At this point, it’s still a coup. I read that Sen Graham doesn’t want to call any witnesses, which means the public will never hear the truth.
Well, it's their first coup. They'll improve on speed eventually.
We’re trying to restore the Constitution peacefully, I’m afraid the left won’t let us.
They will make it go hot if we keep resisting.
