Behind the Tory blowout: Why British conservatives dominated this election
NY Post ^ | December 12 2019 | Charles C.W. Cooke

There is no better word to describe the scale of the Conservative Party’s victory in Britain’s general election Thursday than “blowout.” This was a mauling. A drubbing. A pummeling of historic proportions and surprising depth.

If early returns hold up, the Tories have won over 150 more seats than the Labour Party and are on course for a majority of around 65. To grasp just how badly Labour has performed, consider that the party’s last famous defeat, in 1983, was less substantial.

That year, Labour was led over the cliff by Michael Foot, whose hard-left election manifesto has become known as the “longest suicide note in history.” Somehow, Jeremy Corbyn has managed to outdo even that, losing not only the middle classes but a host of traditional Labour constituencies as well.

And by the way, all richly deserved.

These people are bitter, you can just feel the hatred seating in them. Reminds me of the progressives here in America after Dec 8th 2016.

You'd think that after these brave leftists have revealed their true selves that people would just love them...

at least in the same way that everyone over here loves Pelosi, Nadler and Schiff so much.

So let's get on with attempting to rescue GB from the Rothschild globalist would-be slave masters in Brussels.

This is all because of Donald Trump.

The political movement he set in motion is taking root world wide.

The entire world has been watching America and people are noting both his success and the virulent opposition of our political class

This is the same transnational political class that has been doing the whole fundamental change two step, running their own countries into the ground and gaslighting them by telling them the same BS lies and excuses Obama told us.

Our foreign allies are looking to put a little Trump in their lives too as they realize their decline and demographic replacement by illegal aliens is not some irreversible, inevitable destiny preordained by fate as they have been told.

They are waking up to the fact that their lives are being ruined and futures destroyed by the same class of corrupt and treasonous ideologues that Trump is dealing with.

Boris Johnson is a bit of a walk on the wild side for Brits but the basics are really pretty simple, they just require a wild card to push through the necessary policy changes to right the listing ship of state

Good Ol’ Boris is more exploding cigar than magic wand, but British woes are even more basic and fundamental than our own so really all that is needed is a guy wild enough to take care of the necessary businessz

That describes Boris to a tee

So, you're saying things did not go well for the Labour Party?

I am pretty sure that worldwide people had had enough of the nonsense coming out of the left for quite some time before Trump came along. The mocking of the left is what is really new. That definitely became a thing during Trump’s run for office. All of a sudden it became a bit of sport and no longer taboo to point at the Emporers’ lack of clothes. All those who had been cowering in their homes decided they could add voice to the growing movement. Some of them are thick as stumps and can’t really voice what they believe in but at least they have left the reservation. Better they vote on our side!

“That year, Labour was led over the cliff by Michael Foot, whose hard-left election manifesto has become known as the “longest suicide note in history.””

Let’s hope that the articles of impeachments against Trump will be described the same way after next year’s election.

In the aftermath....Corbyn will resign from his position, retire, and write a book or two. The Labour Party will go into a rebuilding effort (same for the Liberal Democrats), and Boris has a clean slate to proceed on for the next two or three years. I should point out though....the Scottish SNP folks gained seats as well.

There will be calls for Sadiq Khan to assume party leadership.

Uh, conservative isn’t really conservative over there. It’s more like Susan Collins kind of conservative.

Democrats deserve the Jeremy Corbyn treatment. Its time to flush America off them. We need a national enema next November.

How sweet it would be and thanks Brits - for showing us how it’s to be done.

We need but one word; “enough!”

what is hilarious is that just a few days ago, the British papers and the NYTimes were printing articles insisting that the “youth” vote was against Boris Johnson and for Brexit, and that they would turn up and vote him out.

But when I read about the long lines, I suspected the quiet majority finally got off their duffs to vote.

With “impeachment”, I suspect they will do the same in the USA.

One word: “enough” Are you sick and tired and have you had enough?

I’ve had my fill of the Democrats and I want them gone! Period.

Well, the youth vote (those under 34) did vote massively against Boris, but I guess there were not enough of them. Those districts or whatever they call them that had significant youth vote, all went Labour.

As it turns out, turnout was slightly less than the last vote in 2017.
