Thanks to the Department of Justice IG report -- the one released on Monday -- we now know for certain what was, for those paying attention, fairly obvious for a long time -- in fact, from the beginning. We now know the Steele dossier played a central role in the genesis of the beginning of the Russia hoax.
The dossier was used to justify extensive spying on an innocent American citizen; that would be former naval officer and Annapolis graduate, Carter Page. The top two leaders at the FBI were closely involved in the decision to do this. Other powerful people, including a former director of the CIA, knew it was happening and then lied to cover it up later. All of that was confirmed Monday by the IG's report.
The report was a disaster for the credibility of our bureaucratic class in Washington. But it's also a big, big problem for the American news media. They were exposed as liars and know-nothings as well.

Many of us have known that the MSM is deceitful for decades.
Of course, the lying media narrative is that Trump started calling them fake news, and all of us little sheep fell for it. Thus, the histrionic article s about how Trump threatens the freedom of the press, yada yada yada. The truth, that the MSM will never acknowledge, is that we have distrusted them for ages. Trump gives voice to our distrust.
Anyone who watches and believes CNN et al is too mentally deficient to recognize they have been misled.
When that alleged dossier was brought out I viewed it as someones idea of a satirical piece to be submitted to UK’s Daily Mail or other lefty publication which was rejected probably because of this.
Frankly Trump strikes me as a guy who knows the value of a buck and wouldn’t waste it on a bunch of hookers urinating on a bed just to get even . For that to be used as an excuse to spy on the Trump Presidential campaign by the courts calls for a review.
I don’t really need some I.G. report to tell that cnn has a bunch of liars
The first step is to Revoke ALL Press Credentials from every Presstitute and network that played the Russia Hype game.
Does anyone have the link to the case where Page is referenced as the confidential informant in a case against a Russian spy? As I recall, the case was around 2014. It has been posted here on FR, but I don’t recall where.
