NEW YORK (AP) — It’s been true for some time that Republicans are generally more hostile to the news media than Democrats, but a study released Thursday found that’s much more the case for supporters of President Donald Trump.
The Pew Research Center study looks at viewpoints on the ethical standards of journalists and whether they act in the best interests of the public.

And it isn’t just “Trump voters” that the news agencies ridiculed.
Recall the embedded caption on a photo of someone at a Bush rally nearly 20 years ago. “Brainwashed voter” or some rot.

The “journalists” were hostile to us first.
Its only natural, that they are seen for what they are - haters and liars.
I watched CBS coverage of the Horowitz testimony. Compared to the NBC channels and CNN, it was not too bad. I don’t know, maybe the sanest CBS people attended. Next time I watch CBS coverage i’ll see how it goes.

Sure we are hostile to their lies.
Those Podesta emails were a gold-mine of information.
The mass media did everything possible to minimize the importance of the data, and yell “right wing kook” at anyone undertaking a serious analysis of the contents.
They tried to suppress data to protect the Clintons and the DNC, pure and simple.
(I and many other Freepers had many posts on those emails covering a wide variety of topics—they are the Rosetta Stone of modern American politics—totally amazing.)
The first amendment freedom of the press is not a privilege afforded to a credentialed group of elitists who call themselves "the press." It is the right of all the people to publish.
If there is "hostility towards journalists" by anyone, it's because they put themselves out front as arrogant, smarter, and righteous voices of the people, when the rest of us see them as just arrogant.

I haven’t watched a major network in over twenty years.
With the exception of clips on the interwebs.
Put half of them in prison and use the rest for organ transplant stock. See, I am willing to compromise.

The word “politician” can easily be substituted for “journalist” in your comments and they would still be true!
Kind of funny - they used to look down their noses on TASS and now they have become TASS.....and wonder why FReedom-loving people might feel a bit of antipathy for them....
Hostility is a poor choice of word.
