I would certainly hope there’s an imbalance of power between our president and any foreign leader, or between our nation as a whole and any other nation. If the U.S. doesn’t hold a superior position in any international relationship, negotiation, or conflict, then the President isn’t doing his job.
What Hank Johnson and all congresscritters in general have proven this past week and especially in the last 3+ years, is that, America needs to vote for term limits.
Trump needs to do is to run on proposing (with the help of republicans), a bill to impose term limits on the house and the senate. The presidency already has term limits.
If Trump were to make such a suggestion, democrats would likely impeach him for trying to dictate how congress should do its job.
