A Vote for Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party Is a Vote for Anti-Semitism
NY Times ^ | December 12, 2019 | Bret Stephens

Back when Donald Trump was running for president — and Republicans were still capable of feeling politically ashamed — a conservative friend made what was, to my mind, the decisive case against voting for him.

No, a ballot for Trump did not automatically mean that his voters shared his bigotries. Nor did it necessarily mean that they weren’t embarrassed by them.

It just meant that those bigotries weren’t deal-breakers. If their candidate was a birther, they could live with it. If he thought celebrity was a license for sexual predation, they could live with it. If he wanted to impose a religious test on immigrants; or discredit a judge on account of his ethnic background; or characterize the bulk of Mexican immigrants as “rapists” — that may all have been very unfortunate.

This coming from Citizen of the World Bret Stephens is rich. Of course, he cannot help himself by bashing Trump voters in the first paragraphs of the piece. The main point is Stephens is gung ho on open borders. Then he decries a natural consequence of this in Britain letting in millions of Muslims; the most anti-Semitic group in the world today. Because of people like Stephens, anti-Semitism might be a net positive vote getter in the UK; Muslims outnumber Jews in the UK by a factor of at least 10 to 1.

NYT trying to interfere/influence a foreign election? Why don’t they respect the UK’s fair and free elections?

Good old New York Times cannot resist every opportunity to bash Trump.

I believe this opening is called ‘grasping at straws’.
